Headquartered in New Mexico, James Sidd, DDS, has over a decade of experience in dentistry. Dr. James Sidd began his education as an engineering student at Vanderbilt University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree there in 1981. He also obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Vanderbilt in 1984. In 1998, he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.For more than ten years, Dr. Sidd has practiced general dentistry at the Tohatchi Health Center. He uses his expertise to treat Native American residents of the Navajo Reservation, and he practices hospital dentistry at the inpatient facilities of the Gallup Indian Medical Center, also in New Mexico. While originally hired as a staff dentist, Dr. Sidd was promoted to Acting Chief of the Clinic in April 2010. He assumed the post of Chief of the Clinic in November of the following year. As head of the office, he is responsible for supervising several staff members including a dentist, the front office manager, a dental hygienist, and dental assistants. He also trains dental residents in rotation at the Tohatchi clinic.In addition to his work in New Mexico, Dr. James Sidd is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Sidd is a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry.Away from his dental clinic, Dr. Sidd provides charitable support to National Public Radio, and he enjoys scuba diving and hiking.
